Long-form Copy
Client: Stun
Roles: Creative Director, Copywriter
While I was at Stun we wanted to buck the trend of EDM blasts and digital marketing. We wanted to be contrary. So we created two pieces of long-form collateral - books.
The design of these things is amazing as well, right?! Andrew Harbott is the man responsible - you can find him and the rest of his work here.
If you have a burning desire to read what happens when Greg Ellis gets more than a couple of pages to fill with copy you can click on one of the covers and look at the whole thing
People love getting things in the mail. It’s even more intriguing when it comes by courier. So, Stun wanted something that could be sent out to people they wanted to work with. The books not only provided the latest in marketing science but also a healthy dose of Stun’s tone of voice - friendly snark.
Researching and writing these was one of the real pleasures of my time at Stun, and these are some of the pieces of creative work that I’m most proud of. And that’s not just because they were funny and took some well-deserved shots at corporate sales culture.
They also worked; some lucrative, long-lasting client relationships emerged from the pages of the Books of Stun.
